UK sugarcats, any luck with PZI alternative?

As you know, we can no longer get this insulin here and the vets seem to only want to use Caninsulin, in fact I think it's *almost* the only pet insulin available here. I know one can use Hypurin but my vet is not keen.

Does anyone have any information to send to the vet re switching from the Insuvet PZI to Hypurin or perhaps even Lantus (which he really doesn;t want to consider) I don't know if any vets in the UK use Lantus!

UK based ideas and suggestions welcome.

You may want to post on Health if you haven't already. I think we may have a couple UK-ers around (?) but I'm not sure how often they visit the forum. (?)
