U-40 syringes

I hurt Pepper tonight using the u-40 syringes. I am going to switch back to the u-100 syringes and use the conversion chart.. Poor girl cried.

I'm not talking length wise. I'm talking thickness. I don't put the u40 in all the way and she still flinched and cried.

Looks like a larger gauge needle and longer too. You'll get used to the U100s and they allow many more dose fractions. Just put the U40s away somewhere so you don't grab them accidentally and fill according to the conversion chart.

I like the u100's when she was on Novolin. I'm happy to go back to them.

You'll need to use this conversion chart if you want to dose ProZinc, a U40 insulin, with U100 syringes:

Interesting. Thanks for the photo. I have only ever dealt with U-40s.
