I'm very sorry that it was Smokey's time to leave you. You made your decision out of love for your boy. At the Bridge he will be "in good paws" with all of our GAs until that wonderful day when you are reunited.

Please do not second guess yourself. You made what you thought was the best decision at the time. No one doubts that you and your family love Smokey. In the end, you gave him the ultimate gift - his freedom. That is a very hard thing to do when you love someone, but it means everything to him. Now let yourself grieve and don't feel guilty - feel relief that he is not suffering. :bighug:

You did nothing wrong. You beggared yourself to try and save him, but he was just to sick to go on.
This FD is a tricky and horrendous condition, and it sometimes ends badly, no matter how hard your work to save your beloved kitty.
At least Smokey was saved more pain. You did everything possible , but the angels did not smile on you.
