Turtle's numbers

I was finally able to get Turtle's PS up high enough to shoot BID, and I've been giving her .25 BID for three days now.

The last couple of days are starting to look a little more "normal," in that her BGs are up at PS, then go down, then go up again by the next PS. Her lowest number (that I've measured) has been 165, last nite, then up to 307 this morning. Down to 230 at midday and now at 312 (an hour before PS).

Can someone take a quick peek at her spreadsheet and see if I'm on the right track? I'm thinking she should stay on this dose for a few more days, but I don't want her to go too high. Is it OK for her to be in the 300s as she settles in to this dose? I am testing her ketones a few times a day.

I have a feeling I may need to up her dose in a few days but I don't want to do it too quickly.

Thanks!

I think she is looking good. I do wonder about the blues last night. Did she eat less or more than usual? Sometimes if their pancreas is helping out, you can play with the numbers by changing the feeding habits. You might consider going to a lower carb if possible (if you are at 8%, try 3-5 %) to see if that lowers her numbers. But not all fish - it is low in carbs but high in phosphorous. If she is eating meals, you might try grazing or vice versa.

I would think staying with your .25 makes sense for a few more cycles.

Thanks so much for looking...I know everybody is getting reading for Thanksgiving and I appreciate you taking the time for us!

Turtle is already eating the low-carb Fancy Feast Classics (Chicken Feast; Liver & Chicken, which are 4%). I did start spreading out her meals more last week and adding a midnight portion, partly because she was going down so much in the night even then. So she gets 1.5 food oz morning, midday, evening, and midnight. Last night she did eat a little less at her midnight snack - about 1oz instead of 1.5oz.

I do have to say that I am giving these .25u doses in a 100u syringe. It does have half-unit marks but it's quite challenging to measure out .25 on it. So it's possible she could have gotten a little larger than .25 dose.

Thanks!

I am with Sue
Stick with .25 for alittle longer to see what happens
then if nothing , very slowly raise a little

With the lack of PS # from last night I have to wonder if you might have shot into a low number and this is a bounce.

I would stick with the .25u until we start seeing a better pattern and then slowely raise up the dose if needed.
