WOW! Awesome picture. Had she just layed her eggs? Rare to see them. Great picture!!! We are so excited to be leaving tomorrow for the outerbanks. Can't wait to see some turtles, dolphins, etc.

Yes, Lori, she had just finished her nest and was on her way back into the water for the next 2 or 3 years! Catching one on the beach in daylight is extremely rare here. May happen once or twice a summer out of every 100 nests! I got to see one last year at daybreak, and two others around midnight or so. :smile:
I hope you get to see turtles at the beach while you are there,
