thats the old thread that got a little long winded.

tldr: switched to prozinc from vetsulin. started prozinc at 2u. tuna hit the greens, and kept dipping. fed food to keep him in the 90's. when time for pmps i pushed .5u because his pm BG was 207. i just pushed 1u and hope to stay there this week until i can get some half unit marked syringes.

tuna lost .7 lbs so woohoo! thats what i wanna see! his ideal weight is around 12lbs so i still have some work ahead of me from 18.9 (now 18.2) lbs to 12 :')

You are doing great, happy he lost some weight :cat:

An interesting development, he's trending about 20 points higher than yesterday in his BG samples. That could mean that this is the right dose for him because he kept dipping so low yesterday! I knew I should have started with the 1u yesterday, I shouldn't have second guessed myself to make a vet feel better. I'll know more at his +5 in 1 hour!!

could be! Either way, it's nice that he's giving you a break today. Maybe you'll even be able to take a nap (when do you sleep with your schedule???)
On a good night I can expect to finally fall asleep at 5:00 a.m. and then I wake up around 12:00. Luckily being a stay-at-home cat mom means that I was able to make any sleep schedule that would work best for tuna. Last night I didn't really get to bed until 6:00 a.m.. My fiance is so wonderful he lets me sleep and he sets alarms for the middle of the night blood glucose testing and I do all day!

Tuna is in quite the mood right now, he keeps yelling for me if he walks 10 ft away from me and he just did this crazy flip off my poor willow tree. That willow tree is only 2 years old I don't know if it can handle 20 lbs of tuna! I didn't even think tuna could jump like that! This was the same time yesterday when he started getting all wild!
