Trying to regulate Toby

Hi, My name Is Peg and My cats name is Toby he is 9 yrs old and was diagnosed with Inflammatory pancreatitis about a year ago. He is on 5mg of prednisolone a day. 2.5mgs in the morning and 2.5mgs at night. We can't take him off from this because the pancreatitis flares right back up with just the slightest reduction in the dosage. I don't know if this is what caused the diabetes but he was diagnosed shortly afterward with it . He is on BCP PZI insulin and I'm having a hard time trying to regulate him. Right now he is on 3 units twice a day. Was wondering if anyone has a kitty on steriods and are getting good results with Lantus. Would like to hear from you. I have posted in the health forum. She doesn't post very often anymore but you could try sending a private message to Tucker's Mom. Tucker is now at the bridge but he was also on pred as well as Lantus. There also might be several among the Acro cats as well.
