Hi everyone-
I would love to get some input on Troubles spreadsheet- as well as wanted to share an update
He is on Lantus.
We are doing a curve of sorts today- but the numbers seem to be higher than they have been over the last few weeks (the vet wants us to call it in when we have done one). I don't know if its bouncing because the numbers have been lower- or maybe he just didn't get a full shot (although it seems as he did).
I was thinking of taking more blood tomorrow- to see if the readings are lower- I think that she may recommend us increasing the dose with these numbers- and I don't feel we need to.. So would appreciate your thoughts
We have decided to try to focus on the tight regulation since he has started having some better numbers- so are trying to be more on regular with our testing, so that we will know when to decrease. We chose not to shoot when he was at 2.8/50 because we felt it was too low- and he immediately went up. So have been shooting when he has been lower- and it seems to be working. His nadir is normally +4.
And Overall Update- He is doing so well. He is eating well- mostly weruva foods, with some FF and freeze dried raw. He is gaining weight- I don't notice his knobby backbone anymore, Although he has more weight to gain. He also has so much more strength. Sometimes he is so hyper- its like when he was a kitten- he hasn't run so much since he lost his leg 3 years ago. He is also living up to his name "Trouble"- he doesn't know how to play nice- and is terrorizing my other cat (poor Chela), and wanting to play/attack us. His coat is better, he is drinking way less, and the litterbox is so much easier to clean. The blood testing can be tricky at times- but he seems to be getting a little better.
Overall we are so happy- and so thankful for all of the advice on the board too!
Anyways- Thanks so much in advance for your thoughts
