Cassis' struggles ended at midnight. It seems that ours have just begun. Thanks to all for your advice, concern and kind thoughts.

Oh, no. I am so sorry to hear this. Cassis knew how much you loved her; she had delicious food, wonderful snacks, lots of attention with pats and yes, even pokes, and a safe warm place to live. What more could a kitty want?
 
I am really very, very sorry to hear this -- sounds like the last few days have been very rough
I truly wish you peace and strength to get through the pain

I'm SO sorry it was Cassis' time to cross.....BIG HUGE loooooong hug. Remember, she's not gone - you just have to hug her differently.

Soar high on your new angel wings sweet girl....landing back in Mama's broken heart....
