My cat is growling at me and even trying to dart away when giving shots. At first I was injecting into the scruff and soon he began to catch on. Eventually I moved to his hip because he was tensing his shoulders a lot. He keeps growling more and more each time. I’m worried I’m hurting him because he growls when I stick it in. I’ve tried tenting the skin lots of different ways and I’m careful to aim for under then fur and not down in his body. On the other hand I’ve mostly learn shot technique from YouTube and I’m not the most confident. I’ve had tiny amounts of blood in the needle twice now and I’m not sure if that means I’m going into the muscle.
