I am going to be able to make it to my friends funeral, but now I need to know how to keep Shiloh safe while I am gone. Hubby is not comfortable yet with shooting and is gone for about 10 hours a day with no option to come home and check during the day. I would hate to derail her progress, but what do I do??

Our general concensus for vacation periods and boarding is to slightly reduce the insulin dose (ie not do tight regulation) when testing will not be done.

With her at 1 unit, would you go with .5? Would definitely be easier for DH to measure that rather than .75.

Yes. Plus, provide him with instructions on How To Handle A Hypo, emergency vet contact info and authorization to treat letter, just in case it might be needed.

Any chance you can find a high school or college student, maybe from your church, to help out?
