So.....for the past week I've been told the urine test was "pending" by all the peeps in the vet office. I got a call over the weekend saying they never got her urine! It took them a week to figure this out.

When I brought her in they took her in the back to do her blood. When they were done they told me they'd "have the results of the blood and urine tests soon" so I assumed they got urine out of her "in the back" too...but they never did.

She's been playing like a maniac and she's back to acting like herself. She's still eating differently these days. Dave was here this weekend and he helped me watch her eat. She eats at different times whenever she feels like it. She eats dry now that I'm offering it to her and it can stay out all day.

It's definitely hard for me to give her dry food after all I've learned here. When I first adopted her she had been eating dry kitten chow (which I'm sure is crap) but she'd eat it and I needed her to eat. I bought her Spot's Stew by HALO which at least seems like a better quality dry food...and she eats it....and Merlin doesn't...which is exactly what I want. He's got asthma - I don't need him getting over weight. So I'm gonna suck it up and feed her the dry along with some wet and see what happens. She must have had a flu. I'm still giving her the AB's.

I have TruPanion pet insurance and you have to send them all medical records for the first claim. I've yet to be reimbursed. I'm curious to see what will happen. I probably won't get much because I have a $250 deductible. I pay about $20 a month per cat. If I change it to a $0 deductible it would be about $28 a month.
Money money money!!!!!! :!:

How horribly frustrating!!!! As far as eating dry...the important thing is that she eats. I hope she feels 100% soon. It sounds like she's well on her way.
