I am sure I read this somewhere on here but now I can't find it! Just want to confirm freeze dried chicken is ok as treats!!! It is making the testing sessions very pleasant for both of us. I threw out all his other carbalicious treats and only just got around to buying these. Now he purrs when I go to test him because he knows he is getting treats :roll: Just wanted to make sure they are indeed ok since his BG's are creeping up a little bit.

I get PureBites Freeze Dried Chicken, and i but the big bag in the dog aisle, it saves a little money!

Yep - KT will sit for 24 hours of testing just to get his freeze dried chicken treats! Snowshoe and Nuisance prance at my feet just hoping they get a little bite for themselves even tho' they don't need pokies. The dog freeze dried chicken treats are cheaper - only difference is that the dog ones are larger bites. I just break them up - actually like them that way better as there is less crumbling and powder at the end. DON'T let them put the treats in same pkg as a can or anything not soft - they'll get crushed.
I tried the tuna flake treats from Petco this week - they're wierd. KT had to learn to eat them as they look like really thin wood shavings. Snow cleans up every little bite that KT misses...

I get the Beefeaters ones in the cat aisle. I did get the Purebites once but they got kind of gross towards the end of the bag, even though I kept it sealed tight. I think with just one cat I was going through them so slow that moisture eventually got in and made them an icky texture. Bandit does get through an entire can of Beefeaters with no problem, though! 
I also got a smaller bag of the freeze dried beef liver treats in the dog section, but he wouldn't touch them. Bandit will eat anything, so that is some condemnation from him!

KT loves the liver ones too so I get 2 small bags instead of one of the big ones. Snow doesn't want anything to do with them and Nuisance actually runs away from them hissing. KT says the cat shrimp ones are only good for slapping down the hall.
