just came back from the vet and she gave him the cerenia injection so fingers crossed it helps him. He was running a fever of 39.9 or 103.8 for you Americans out there, and there was a small amount of bacteria in his urine. Since I gathered the urine sample myself we're not sure if its because he has a minor UTI or if it was compromised but due to the fever she went ahead and gave him an antibiotic injection. She also gave him fluids while we were there.

She told me his blood work came back normal as did his fPL test. I've attached the results she sent me although I confess these numbers mean nothing to me.

Perhaps you or some more experienced eyes can make heads or tails of it Copy of test results:

His BG is 290 tonight so at least it's not pink.
Thank you all so very much for your concern and prayers and healing vines. Please keep them coming.

Hi Iorwen. Yay on the good pancreas test, and the other bloodwork too.
I hope it's a simple uti, and the AB helps your handsome boy. I love Tray's eyes.

Iorwen, I'm very glad to hear that Tray's bloodwork is fine. I hope that the antibiotics will knock out any infection and that he'll be back to his normal self soon. Sending some more healing vines to your boy,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Iorwen....sure hope Tray starts to feel better really soon and kicks whatever infection he has!!! In order to really confirm the presence of bacteria in the urine, they need to do a culture and sensitivity through cystocentesis. My kitty, Gus, had some bacteria in his urine (free catch sample) but when they did a C&S, it was clean.

Good luck...sending healing vines. Great news on the fPLI!

Hi Iorwen, I hope Tray is feeling better today and the Convenia helps him. Sending some healing vines for Tray to feel better and get back to his old self. I hope someone can help you understand the bloodwork. Keep us posted.
