If you have a cat that just cannot be pilled or given oral fluids this is a lifesaver. I can't keep bumping this thread so the details are always at or near the top of my profile. You can also just bookmark this thread.
It's not cheap and comes from a compounding pharmacy. The BUPE is the consistency of toothpaste and comes in a syringe. You can break the dosage up into smaller amounts during the day, it never affected Noah's numbers, I've never seen any of my cats get so looped they had to be kept away from the stairs.
Noah was on this for years. He had a mouthful of rotten teeth but could not be anesthetized (long story) so his last years were more than just tolerable. Andy's broken leg and Marco's frequent UTI's were also treated the same way.
After I had gotten good at poking holes in him the worst part of Noah's day was having his ears tickled. We miss you buddy.
