Liver is Weezer's new favorite thing. She loves the freeze dried beef liver treats and chicken liver treats. I know liver is high in vitamin A, so I don't want to give her too much. How much is too much? Her food is mostly FF chicken feast, Friskies mixed grill, turkey & giblets, and tuna with egg. How many liver treats can she safely add to that diet?

A few pieces a day won't do any harm  As with any treat, stick to like 5 or less per day. If your cat likes other types of treats as well, do a rotation of them so she's not getting liver treats all the time.

Large quantities of liver in general can pose a health problem.

Tom sometimes will eat nothing but raw chicken livers...for days. I give in becuase it's better than the alternative which is not eating anything.
What kind of problems can I expect for Tom?

Too much liver can cause vitamin A toxicity.

From Dr. Lisa: Liver is a very nutritious organ meat - and should be present in small amounts - but it should never be the first ingredient as it is very high in vitamin A and D and you don't want to feed too much of those vitamins.

I don't know how much liver would need to be eaten for it to cause vitamin A toxicity.
