So, failing miserably at the only testing at the normal pre-shot times part of this trial, but with Tonka having been highest mid-cycle the last week or so, and being over 90 at pre-shot times, I want to make sure that he isn't creeping out of the normal range mid-cycle. So far, so good. He does seem to come down after eating, and it's probably just running out of post-feeding insulin that's making him creep up a touch by the next shot time, eh?
His grazing does seem to spread out across most of the day, but he definitely eats the most when the meal is first put out (maybe about half of his food at that point). Hopefully his grazing nature will keep him from going too high by the end of cycle too often, because with Tonka's destructive nature, I don't put much hope in a timed feeder lasting long with him. Maybe putting out the foodsickles instead of part of his normal meal, to encourage him to leave more of his food for later in the day?
