Larry and Kitties

Very Active Member
Right before Christmas Tones stopped eating. Vet visit revealed a grade 4-5/6 heart murmur and an enlarged heart and a lesion in a lung. He did start eating again but not that well. An appetite stimulant helped for a while. He also had two heard lumps suddenly appear and grow. Earlier this week he really stopped eating. All he did was lay no his side. This morning he laid on the bed and did not move all morning. It was a peaceful crossing

Tone came into my home less that a year ago as untreated diabetic. I go him controlled on 9 units Levemir and 5 units N twice daily. He had a stron will. He would keep my dog Raggy in her place. Raggy would not pass Tonis in the hallway. Otherwise she would get swatted.

Today was also sad since a year ago I said goodbye To my Twigie who was also in my house less than a year. I remember because of the traffic due to closed roads for a St Patty's day parade.

I'm sorry for your loss, Larry.
Tonis sounds like a real character. May he be waiting for you at the bridge.

So sorry to hear about your loss. It's never an easy day - but hopefully your memories of the quality time you had together will lessen the pain. God Bless!

Larry

I am so sorry for the passing of Tonis. Bless you for taking in these diabetic kitties and giving them a home.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Tonis. It's a good thing that he passed peacefully in his own home though. I hope your memories of him can console you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Many tears falling here. Losing him after such a short time is so hard.. and same with Twige. You are an awesome Dadbean.

Larry,

I am so sorry for your loss of Tonis. He was quite a handsome fellow. You've taken such wonderful care of your kitties and Tonis knows how good you were to him. Sending you many hugs~~~

Ah, he was a pretty kitty, Larry. I'm sorry for your loss, but so glad that you were able to give Tonis a home for even a short time.

I think in a way, it's a tribute to this board and to the members that so few (if any) of our cats die from diabetes or related causes. We learn so well how to care for the diabetes that our cats have way too much time to get all these other horrible diseases.

Words cannot express how sorry I feel for you, Tonis is now resting and watching you!

Junior sends his purrs to you.

(((Larry)))

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a sweet person to take care of such special kitties - and Tone had a great life with you.

Hugs,
Pam
