Only one week to go before we go on a well deserved vacation. :RAHCAT Tommy has done so well lately and I feel okay with boarding him. I am going to do his meals up in advance and bring some extra HC incase of going too low. I had a little time today to look over his spreadsheet and I came up with this sliding scale to give to the staff at the pet inn.
up to 150 no shot
150-200 .2u
250-300 .4u
300-350 .6u
350-400 .8u
over 400 1.0u

Sue and others knowing Tommy, would you look at his SS and see if this would be a good scale to go by? The staff I talked to said they have given shots and other medical needs before, so they are aware of his needs. I was also wondering if I should give them this site if they need advise? In all honesty I trust you guys more than I would a vet who doesn't know Tommy. What other things should I plan for? Thanks for all your advise to come. drinking24

Hi Sandy,

Hurray!!! A vaca!!!! Your scale looks good to me - a little less than you would do, so safe. The one thing I might do is to have them watch you pull up a .1 or .2 so they really see how little insulin it is. (don't want them to pull up 1 unit!). Yes, they could certainly post here.

Have a wonderful time!
