Thank you !!Great AMPS this morning, Sherri! You were absolutely right to forego the dose! This is exciting - GO, Skittles!!!![]()
Not muchHow much food is still on the plate usually when you pick it up
Yes, that all makes sense. I will probably just keep getting up. I'm using 40 U and doing half units is just guessing as close as possible, and doing .5 units will be so hard until I can get my new glasses ( gotta get bio focal nowIf you don't pull the food, then there is a chance that his AMPS number might be higher if he eats between 5 and 7 am.
However, his numbers today are almost identical, which means his body, at least right now, is holding his BGs down. Not quite "normal" numbers but pretty darn close!
You might see a 200 at AMPS? But if you do, I think it will be at least in part due to food (assuming you don't pull up his food at 5am.) Should that happen, I'm thinking that if you decide to shoot a number around 200, I'd think about maybe a .5u dose. Something less than 1 unit. Does that make sense?
Understand, with insulin.I'm not completely comfortable advising someone else on what "I" would do.
Great idea!! Im going to have to find one, Thank you!Have you considered a timed feeder
