Would you be able to get some early tests in since you've not had too many green pre-shots - especially AMPS numbers that are green?

Yea. I'm going to give him a test at +3 after(Which is about 50 minutes from now).
I will be here another 7 hours and leave for about 4 hours, then i'll be home to check him again.
He doesn't usually change much until the +3 hour normally.

his +3 is 64.
still in a good zone though lower than normal. I will check him again in an hour.
And I know people frown on it, but I can't check him without feeding him because he is a strong boy, so I test him after the last meal sort of wears off.

The only time anyone "frowns" on testing and feeding is 2 hours prior to your shot time. In fact, it's preferable to give your kitty some food when you're seeing numbers like Obie's this morning. Some LC food may help to keep his numbers in this lovely green zone. (Some cats' numbers may rise if you're feeding after nadir since there's less insulin available to counteract the food.) If you look at the sticky on managing low numbers, we encourage you to test and feed repeatedly to keep your kitty safe. Obie isn't in overly low numbers -- he's in a great range to help his pancreas to heal.

Thank you :smile: 3 months ago I would be totally tripping over these numbers, but I want him to be green as long as I can for the reason you suggested.
Feeding him a meal close to midnight is the main culprit for his numbers today. He didn't go 5 hours without eating. That seems to be the key for him right now.

What a great start to Obie's day!
You both have come so far in such a short amount of time! I have found a +9 snack has done WONDERS for Skooter's numbers.
Thank goodness for his autofeeder, as getting up at 3am the first few nights to make sure he as eating it, SUCKED!
