Hi, My name is Beth, I have a 15 year old Maine Coon named Toby Ashley. He was dx with diabetes over a year ago. He gets 2 units of novolin insulin twice a day. Im here to learn about how to take better care of him, learn what I can and Ide like to start bg testing at home but dont know where to start. Looking forward to learning how I can help my baby boy the best I can.

Welcome, Beth and Toby Ashley. Maybe you could share a picture of him? :) You will get lots of good advice about home testing here. Be sure to post any questions you have on the Main Health Forum where they will get more attention than in the introduction forum.

If you click on Upload a File at the bottom right of where you enter post text you can browse for your file and attach it.

Welcome! We can definitely help you with that. Home testing is the best way to keep your cat safe and find the ideal dose. I have a video in my signature showing how I test my cat CC. If you have any specific questions write on the main health forum.

Hi Janet. I think ur the same person who I was talking to on the fb group..ur video was very helpful.. As far as the posting a pic thing, I still cant figure it out..I dont know what the file is without showing me a pic..so thats not really a big deal at the moment. Its the least of my problems. Anyhow...thank u.

Heres a pic of me and Toby right now. Hes a 20 lb cat who thinks hes still a kitten and climbs on top of the couch onto my shoulder and stays that way. Love this little guy to pieces.
