To shoot or not to shoot

I see she did well last night and so far today. Try to check her again in this a.m. “no shot” cycle. Well done!

I’ve added several readings from this a.m. cycle. No shot this a.m. I’m going to try to test every 3 hours for the rest of the day with 11pm my last test for the day.

Did she get into high carb food?

I wondered that and checked. Her treats are 6% carbs and she probably had 4-5 in a 3 hour period. She’s a terrible eater. She takes a few bites then walks away. I stay with her and do things to entice her to eat more. Sometimes it’s letting her smell a treat (very small pieces) and dropping it into her bowl in top of the food. That’ll get her to eat a few more bites before she loses interest again. I did notice that she had gotten up on the table and eaten some of the Dr Elsey’s dry because there were pieces outside the bowl but she couldn’t have had more than 10 pieces at most. I’m not sure I understand her BG curve. Maybe after a few more days and fairly frequent testing, I’ll figure it out. Her high carb food is no longer around for her to eat. I only have very low carb wet food, Dr Elsey’s dry, “people” canned tuna in oil, and low carb treats available for her.
