To roll or not roll ?

I am getting conflicting info about whether to gently roll the Lantus vial in my hands prior to drawing up my dose ? To roll or not roll, that is the question Also, I would like to start Sumo on Methylcobalamin for his hind leg Neuropathy. Is there a superior brand or place to purchase?? Any information is appreciated.

DON"T ROLL, that is a carry over from older insulins which were suspensions. Lantus is a solution that does not settle out and it likes to be handles gently,

Xobaline has a formula for cats and is one that is recommended here.

there's no need to roll Lantus because there is nothing to mix.

Lantus - Don't roll

Humulin N - roll

The difference is in the suspension. This can be seen when comparing the 2 liquids. The Lantus is clear while the Humulin N 'settles' with a white ring around the bottom.
