? To give dose or not

I’m new here. My kitty is in Lantus. 4 units twice a day. His glucose was 431 this morning. It is now 187 and he is due for second shot but I’m not sure I should give it to him since level is down. What do I do? Thank you

Don’t feed, stall, and retest in about five minutes. Since you don’t have a spreadsheet I don’t feel comfortable with you shooting now. When is shot time? Are you following a protocol? Have you been home testing for the two months since diagnosis? Do you have previous results to share? How long have you been giving 4 units?
