Hello everyone. I have some sort of good news about Morton. in previous threads there was a scare of lymphoma because it feels like he has a bag of marbles going up his neck! Long story short to recap this month has been an absolute nightmare (and for money spent 9 thousand on him) he nearly died of DKA sepsis and pancreatitis. He has ITP since a baby and was constantly on an immunosuppressant that successfully put his ITP into remission. The scary thing was those 3 weeks he was almost dying they completely stopped his drug so it could give his immune system a fighting chance. And success. He is nearly normal now except his lymphnodes and he is anemic (not severe but he has never been anemic before)

Got all of his lymphnodes aspirated (for the second time they've swelled before and I'm talking the size of a mature grape in his neck) and negative for lymphoma again just severely inflamed but why? They think maybe because hes off his immunosuppressive drugs...but his ITP is holding it's own and is okay but now he is getting other weird issues like the lymphnodes and anemia. My plan is finding a hollistic vet...to work with his ITP specialist and my boss/his main vet who has seen him since a baby. He needs some kind of anti inflammatory... I do give him CBD oil but just stared it daily 2 days ago 4mg.

Does anyone know of any information about immune support and anti inflammatories? There has to be something and I'm willing to drive 40 miles to see hollistic vets just wondering if you guys think that is a good plan.

Currently he is not diabetic but we have to watch very closely especially if he is going to eventually go back on an immunosuppressant. His immune system does VERY weird stuff and seems like its moved on to destroying something else other than his platelets right now.

All the meds he is on is a proviable probiotic daily and it helps with diarrhea yay! He has had an issue on and off his whole life. And the canna pet CBD pill once per day

So happy to hear the little guy is doing better now! I wish I could help on recommendations, I'm sorry I don't know anything in this area. I just wanted to comment with an "atta boy" for Morton-- yay!

Thank you. I think I posted how much of a nightmare his vet for the day was at the er. Basically saying without looking at him it was 100 percent lymphoma and she is very concerned about his quality of life and he will not live much longer. Then the slide comes back and says just inflammation. He itches them though. I wonder if even an allergy pill could help like benadryl. Thanks for the response. Hes not out of the woods yet but not critical anymore. Considering how close to death he was just this month it's amazing he acts like nothing happened

Following your sweet Morton:bighug: He sure has had his share of not feeling well. I looked at your instagram and it's quite apparent how loved Morton is. Keep fighting Morton, you're such a trooper.:bighug: Is there any way to fit your instagram in your signature? Beautiful pics of your babies:bighug::bighug:

Thank you! I went ahead and ordered pet tinic liquid vitamins. My vet is going to give him an iron injection (ouch) and b12 injection (I get them too!) When they open back up tuesday after the holiday. I will update my signature :) poor thing was face in the litter again. Makes me so sad

This is a device that seems promising, is used to help with pain and inflammation, it is totally non invasive it doesn't interfere with meds and quite easy to use, it has some actual studies about its efficiency and has recently been approved by FDA, I just got it for Babu and one of my dogs, It appears to have helped but is too soon for me to really give an opinion about it, I just thought it could help you and it may be worth the try

I was also thinking of suggesting the Assisi therapy since I just started this for my kitty for inflammation and pain. I am hoping to get Beta off PREDNISONE and insulin--well I can hope--and lower her pain meds. She has multiple inflammation related problems, including severe arthritis all over, COPD, and chronic rhinitis with nasal bone destruction, so I got the atom carrier to treat her whole body at once. She's been using it for 2 weeks 3-4x/day and is still on pain meds, so it's too early to tell how it's working.

I will mention that the atom carrier is too small for her (she is just under 11 lbs with a short height) so she couldn't lay in the carrier. If you decide to try Assisi carrier, I'd recommend going with the larger size unless kitty is tiny. I use the pad in a different carrier that fits her and it works fine.

Babu wasn't in any pain medication yet (that's what I'm trying to avoid) but had started to show some mobility issues because some arthritis nothin mayor yet, and he does seem a bit more agile but is just an observation (it could be me just thinking he is) so far I'm not sure yet since I've been using it for only about two weeks too, I got the big loop so it kind of covers him all

How much do you give?
There is a Dosage tab on the page the link takes you to. Here is the info from it:
Loading Dose: 1/8 teaspoon twice daily for the first 2 weeks.
Maintenance Dose: 1/8 teaspoon daily (500 mg.)
Dose may be increased to 1/4 teaspoon if needed.
NOTE: Incorporate into cat’s diet slowly to allow digestive system to adjust – start by feeding 1/2 dose for the first two days.
Depending on severity of condition, your pet may require a dose of twice a day continuously for optimal relief of symptoms

It is very unlikely that stress would cause fever, that's usually related to some sort of infection, what does his regular vet said about it?
Oh I agree. He has had fevers on and off with diarrhea a lot in his life. Today is a bad day for him. Not really eating anything. Tomorrow my vet is open and already speaking to my boss he wants to give him an iron and b12 injection. But his lymph node...it is so big I can't even explain it right in his throat. Since its inflammation I have no idea how to get it to go down it is HUGE. Like a big grape. It cant be comfortable for him. Any time he goes downstairs he gets in a weird episode trance like state and tries eating litter. He cant explore the garage because he instantly licks the cement

I haven't seen something like that but maybe if you started a new thread posting specifically the question if someone has had to deal with inflamed lymph nodes someone can help
