My BFF Smoky passed away right before his "appt" to save me the even more heartache that was about to happen, but 14 years is a long time. I have many things to give back to this community because of my baby Smoky. If you are a newbie, but care enough to home test I am just including my post that I put on the Grief posting. Trust me, I had Smoky a LOT longer if I had not found this website. I feel so blessed to have found these forums! Gave me and my buddy a lot more years together. See my other post below and please PM if you need supplies. I have many meters, strips, needles, etc. PM for details. The cremation was expensive and I am kindof broke! But I would give a cheap price if I can. I am hoping that Smoky's video helps everyone in this community! Okay see my post below:
"RIP Smoky~I was blessed to have you a LOT longer than I should have thanks to this website and treating your diabetes, despite all of it you always cooperated with your tests and your pills. I know you have been an inspiration to others because of the video you let me make of your glucose testing. Always such a good boy! I hope you can continue to inspire others that this disease can be controlled, and for you at times almost cured of it because of the at-home testing.
If anyone knows anyone that needs help, extra needles, test strips, or just wanna watch the video, please pass this on! There is a huge hole in my heart, but I am glad Smoky is at peace at the Rainbow Bridge. I hope he is no longer hurting. We had a good 14 years together!
I love and miss you buddy!! My MOMO!
