Hi all,
Looking for some input on Creamsicle's spreadsheet. Should we move up to 2 u?

Also, having a lot of issues with bubbles in syringe. I watched the video in the sticky but still got bubble. Any ideas.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Yes on SLGS you hold the dose for 7 days, do a curve then adjust the dose. If he goes below 90 at any point you reduce. However, since he was on a much higher dose with Prozinc, if it were me I'd go ahead and increase him to 1.75 units tomorrow morning and see what he does for the next 6-10 cycles. Once he starts seeing some blue then you'll want to wait the full 7 days. His starting dose for Lantus was too low, we usually start with the same dose as they were on Prozinc.

Any lurkers, this is just for Creamsicle, do not copy.

Some syringe brands are worse than others for making bubbles. It can be aggravating. The best syringes were Terumos but the manufacturer stopped making the u-100 syringes we need for Lantus and Levemir. I made the video a few years ago - you can hear Punkin in the background asking for food, lol.

Are you first moving the plunger up and down to spread the lubricant around? Then make sure you've got the plunger pressed tightly in, as much as possible, before you insert the needle into the insulin vial/pen. Getting all the air out of the syringe first is often enough to get rid of bubbles.

Yes, its annoying with the bubbles. I watched videos but still some there. I feel that maybe I'm not giving the right dose then with the bubbles. If I squirt some out I'll get rid of the bubble but I hate to waste even a drop of this stuff!!
