Good Morning. Tiki was Mr. Fidgety this morning and was quite aware he was getting a shot and was NOT HAVING IT. I stuck him quick but noticed a very small drop of insulin was left in the syringe when I pressed it all the way out (heck, it's just a tiny drop to start with). He is also not eating this am, seems he doesn't like his FF today so the lower number is either cuz he isn't eating or I managed to get SOME insulin into him.

Feeling discouraged...

Hang in there. It will take some time to even see any results. Tiki is building his shed. It can take a few days before that is accomplished. Then you may need to be patient while you figure out which dose will be right for him, very slowly.

I don't give dosing advice as I am too new to FD myself but you are doing this the way it needs to be done. If you take a look at Morgaine's SS you will see how long it took to get her to a dose that really started to give her some green numbers. She was not ever too high but it took months to see things get to where I was satisfied and I am always tweaking things.

OMG How on Earth do you measure .25 doses??? I am going blind on the halfsies! LOL
I use magnifying glasses, the ones most people need to read with as they get older. Others use other forms of magnifiers. You slowly twist the syringe barrel so you can control it more easily. Yeah, it is a challenge and then you have to learn how to eliminate the air bubbles but as others have told me, do your best and be consistent.

You will get much better at all of this with practice.
