hey, All okay, I got tiffy home 900 later, but we are okay, She has Cardiomyopathy and a heart murmur. Probably due to no insulin and being hi. She was in the 200s at the vet, would like to get her lower, but I just have her on Atenonlol, and the vet wants her at 2 units until we she how it works with her. so, 1/4 of 25 mg. she is okay. Let's gauge this together and try to get her bg lower after one week. REallly? I am afraid of a hypo. OI am staying up 1 more hour and bg'ing her to see how it affects her.
she went thru a lot with the panting and the ekg. trust me. but all good, this will help her for a couple of years, I knew it, I say 3 yrs.

Glad to hear that Tiffy is home. Don't know if Darma and Abyss feel the same way. ;-) You must be exhausted but glad to have her back.

What stage is the heart murmur?

How bad is the cardiomyopathy?

I'm not familiar at all with Atenonlol. What is it? And what is it supposed to "fix"? Did they do a full blood panel on Tiffy? If so, what was her Potassium level? I ask because it's related to heart/muscle health.

I think Theresa meant Atenolol. It's a beta blocker. It slows down the heart and reduces the workload.

So happy to hear that she is home. I hope that her treatment goes well
Sending Purrs and Prayers to you both!!

Re: tiffy 380 2.25

The med is making her lethargic and her bg is off due to their timing on shot. Don't know anything about stages of murmur. Can u explain it pls?
And all bloods good
