Just again want to update you guys on Tiffy's Progress. Thanks a million. I couldn't thank you guys enough.
We had to take her off the other beta blocker. I learned a lot. I took deps in Pharma case. I am a court reporter.
They said atenonol is the best for diabetic cats, it is the less blocking of insulin. they all block insulin to some degree. it is the nature of the drug, but Atenonol is the best.
So she was very high during nadir on the previous beta, forgotten what it is. Enephrophrine maybe.
So she is on the Atenonol again and is doing great.
I still can't get bg's on a regular basis, but when I do she is low, 102 at 2:30 pm (I had to sneak a bg in)
At Dr. G's office Saturday at about 1:00 pm, 163. She is on 4.75 to 5 units, but she is doing Fabulous.
With the supplements of taurine and L-Lysine, it controlled her chronic cold. She hasn't had one since the last time. It seems that sometimes she is going to slip into it, but I crank up the L-Lysine, and Her immune system - Thank God - is not compromised or weak anymore, and she comes right out of it like the rest of my felines. Taurine doesn't help with URI, but it does for cardiomyopathy with a street cat.
She gained quite a bit of weight, and looks like a regular healthy Cat. I want to post a new pic and I will try next time. She smiles all the time.
The taurine supplement may have helped her cardiomyopathy. Next Echo will tell whether she beat it. I know you guys didn't believe in supplements, but Tiffy was neglected and severely compromised. You can beat the cardiomyopathy. It develops with the lack of Taurine. And Tiffy was urinating like a horse, so everything flew out of her, All behind her. She urines poops prines and plays a little, mostly hunting darma and abyss, my other cats, but still, very funny.
All Great here. I think I am going to have Tiffy a very Long Time. Lovin it.
I kept her on ProZinc. The Pharma guys said it is good, no hypos on it, it regulates better, and good for beginners. It is just you need more of ProZinc, so Cost-effective insulin, it is not. But if YOU GUYS HAVE FELINES WHO HYPO, PROZINC IS THE INSULIN TO USE, NOT LONG LASTING AS THE OTHERS, BUT YOU WILL NOT HYPO, YOU NEED TO USE MORE UNITS THOUGH, AND CAN SHOT FREE, SO A FELINE THAT IS HARD TO GET BGs, ProZinc is the Way to Go. I am not crazy aggressive either, and I watch over her so much it is nuts, so if she is acting weird, I will get a BG, sneak ninja style. :razz:

I might say this to help you help others. Fancy feast has salt in it, so for any cats with High Blood Pressure or a heart problem, Not good food. I would suggest Evo - I know it is expensive - Wellness, pate only, Chix, Chix Beef, and Turkey, Only ones for Diabetics.
you might have to add some metamucil sugar free to it eventually as there is not enough fiber. I use Solgar Fiber.
I can nhelp you guys now help others. I mastered this, without consistent BGs. I thank God for you guys and my keen insight. I Swear I was a Feline in another world/life. That leads me.
Fyi, She lays on my lap. She lays near me at all times. Love is a Big word And answers all.
