Hi, She is way too high for the 179 nadir today. I just admin'd 3 u's. I think any treats after +3 doesn't work. I know you guys say differently, but look what happens, and I have proof of it. I have her fresh chix at +5.5 and she spike, fresh or not - too late for the insulin. I am not doing it past +3 anymore. I've said the numerous times, but everyone is like shouldn't spike her and should be okay, Nada.

Also, she can't be in heat, she would still be in heat now and she is not.
beejay, if only one horn was taken out and it was a botched spay, would she be calm now or still be in heat? She is fine. I really don't think she is in heat.

My only issue is ketones.
I am trying to get more right now. I did it on old gravel rinsed and the pharmacist said no way, put new liner and new gravel in, there is no way you can rinse the urine off the gravel or the liner.

This is too high. Please check out nadir later. I am staying up to test her tonight. Hopefully I can get it.

I admin'd 25 mls of water via syringe with potassium gluconate powder and her scruff is snapping back at me now.

She's way too high because of the 179 nadir. And technically she is only about 35 points higher than her AMPS so it's within the 20% meter varience.

She hasn't seen this low of a number for a while now. Her body goes into self preservation mode because she has gotten used to being in the high bg numbers so now when her body see's a more normal bg number her liver panicks and tries to save her life from a precieved hypo by dumping sugar into her system.

I still think she's doing fine. I would work on getting the ketone tests in until she is more regulated, it is so important.
