Hi, This is what I've been doing with Tiffy since I can't get a Blood Glucose. The ear definitely has a nodule in it. So that is painful. Because I just touched it and she hissed. So I pampered it, and it healed but the nodule is still there.
So I have been gauging her by water and urine output, also demeanor, and food intake. She was pooling urine and drinking like a fish, and the time I was able to get bg, it read hi.
So I hit her heavy, taking her from 433 (the last reading), giving her 2.75, jumping her up to 3.75, and gauging, and that stopped the frequent urine and drinking, I dropped her to 3.50, much better. 3.75 was high insulin for her. Next 3.25, still stable, and doing even better. So today, this am was the 3.0 and she is doing good, not urinating much and drinking much, within normalcy. Ate her food. She is playing, preening, pooping, urinating, and looks good. So that is the scale I am going to use until I can get her bg, but I think it will be a 1 x a week curve for now on, or 1 x a day. Tonight, I may keep her at 3 or drop her to 2.75. I will see how much output and input there is. As it stands now, she will be at 2.75.

Rough week.

I know Beejay, so uncomfortable. I can't paw her either. she is liking the out in the open with the other cats. she actually is smiling today. I feel so happy. I took the gate down when I am home.
I will check it out. She is on steady 250 this morning and tonight, but I think that is too low. she is drinking a lot today. I like 2.75 and a 2.50.

I saw this, I ran it off. She is in deep drinking today, so I'd say gauging at approx. 1/2 so that is like 80 mls of water and that would be like increased by1.5 up in units, and that would be 4 unit. I think that is too high for her. I will take her up to 2.75 tomorrow and see where she is with the water and I will measure it tomorrow.
thanks Beejay.
