Hi Everyone,

I have not posted in awhile, but we are on vacation with Tiffany and I have a food question. Does anyone know anything about a brand Kiwi Kitchens from New Zealand? (It is not on our food chart.) The pet store is telling me it is high protein low carb, but not sure I want to take their word for it.

Also, we are celebrating that our cat Tiffany who was diagnosed with Diabetes, Acromegaly and IAA over 1 1/2 years ago is now OTJ!!!! She has been on Cabergoline for awhile now...vets are amazed. She is feeling really good and enjoying her days with us!

Thank you to this group!!!

Hi Jadi!!
Wish I had an answer about the food but sorry I do not.

OTJ:woot: That’s amazing!!! So happy for you :)
Another Cabergoline success story:D
I love it

This is great news Jadi!:woot:

The ingredients in the food looks low carb. More gums than I'd like, but they are hard to avoid. You could always email the company and get either the As-Fed or Dry Matter basis numbers and figure out what the carbs are.

Congrats on the OTJ!! I'm so glad the Cabergoline worked for Tiffany. I hope you can get the info you need from the pet food company. Some of them are less than helpful.

I know about the New Zealand brand Ziwi, it’s airdried raw, Bella loves it, be prepared lol it’s expensive, maybe they told you wrong name(oops)

This link is for a carbohydrate calculator. It will give you a very approximate value unless you are using "as fed" numbers which, as others have noted, may only be available from the manufacturer. If you are using the guaranteed analysis, the values are in minimum and maximums so you don't really know if the number is correct. The calculator can help in a pinch just take the results as a loose approximation. It can also take a while for a manufacturer to respond to a request.

Congrats on OTJ!!
