Thinking I go up another 1/2 unit tomorrow? (I probably should have gone up today, but I was waiting for my Alpha Trek strips.) I am using the Alpha Trek meter, until I get comfortable with the Relion. I wish there was a way to convert it exactly for my vet.

Tiff seems kind of bloated...is that part of the Acromegaly? She has been moving slow, but otherwise eating and drinking lots of water, especially when in the 400's. Is there anything else I should be doing for her? (Is it time to start thinking about the R?) I am seeing lots of flat numbers.

Thank you! @Wendy&Neko @saltycat @Bronx's dad

(Hope you are dong okay Wendy. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose your kitty...I have cried lots of tears over Tiff...)

Yes, I would increase tonight, if you can get that before bed test in.

Some people solve the human vs. AT for the vet problem by using a the human meter, except when the vet asks for a curve.

Acrokitties can get a pot belly, is that what you are seeing? Acros are also well muscled, especially in the front. Both growth hormone and IGF-1 play an important role in muscle development.

Have you talked to your vet about using R? Just wondering if she had an opinion.

Thanks for thinking of us. :bighug: It is hard losing two babies six months apart, especially since Theo was four years younger.

Bronx also developed a pot belly but was not sure if it was due to the Acromegly or just that he was eating like a mad man. Once I got his numbers under control he isn't eating as much and the pot belly isn't as bad. And the muscles in the front shoulder are well pronounced like Wendy said. He has trouble walking with the front legs and x-rays showed the bony growth from acro up by the front shoulders.

I am pretty new to R so am not comfortable giving advice, especially since it can cause big drops, even in tiny dosages, in some kitties. Wendy, @Sandy and Black Kitty, @Doodles & Karen, @Jill & Alex (GA) and @julie & punkin (ga) are the folks who helped me get started with R.
