? Tiffany AMPS 133, +4 100, +7 72 -She is having a blue green day after being sick this weekend

Hi there,

Tiffany is posting some low numbers after a UTI infection and then vomiting for 12 hours Saturday night and Sunday morning. I think the Clavamox caused the upset stomach, so the vet gave her a shot of antibiotics yesterday. She is eating, but not quite as much. We are monitoring because she rarely goes green. Is there anything we should be doing differently?

We also had to break out the FF to get her to eat, which we normally do not do. (She is on Nulo and Tiki Cats low phosphorus diet.)

I would offer her a couple tsps of low carb food and test again in an hour. Today looks like a lovely cycle. I hope that's a sign she is feeling better.

Hi Wendy,

She has been in the greens all afternoon with an 88 at pmps. Would you give the regular dose of insulin with that number? She has been eating normally and having snacks after testing with these numbers.

P.S. Looking back I did have an 84 once, but she was at 12U then. I am thinking I will do 14U , but will test tonight for sure. Yes?

If you can monitor and have strips and HC, and are ready for a possible PJ party, go for it. The lowest I ever shot Neko with full dose was 51.

Very nice numbers today, I know how you feel shooting low numbers. I had a hard time shooting any greens with Marvin. Off hand not sure I ever did. Just checked I did once. I'm a big chicken.....

I am kind of glad I didn't go full dose...she was 125 when we returned home tonight from dinner.
