Haven't shot anything yet...still trying to decide. Once again she has left me wondering what happened? confused_cat

did she green, or did she see blue...that is the question.....
with no answer I might stick with the 1.6 if you really dont want to sleep well
and want to test...
jsut a thought...

I bet she saw green last night. I think I would rather stick with the 1.6 & try to get her back to good #'s. There's always the too much insulin, bounce questions in the back of my mind though. I'm always thinking I missed something....just don't trust myself. I've said it before there are too many answers for one question with this dance!!

Ok here is my sliding scale. Any input is appreciated. And remember we can tweek the doses as we go along, as we get more data.

150 to 200 - 1 unit
200 to 225 - 1.2 unit
225 to 250 - 1.4 unit
250 to 275 - 1.5 unit
275 to 300 - 1.6 unit
over 300 - 1.8 unit

This is a little more aggressive than we have been so be ready for some greens.

Ok, I'm going to try this. I already shot 1.6 tonight so I will start tomorrow. Going to do a +3 in about 15 mins. Thanks!!

+ 3.5 - 226

So hopefully this will be a better cycle!

We have cat wars going on here. Petunia has taken over...she has Petey & Josie hiding under the desk. Thumper's not taking any crap though...she growls & Petunia walks around the perimeter of the room to avoid her. Callie puts her in her place also. I'm still locking her up at night & when I'm not supervising. She howled & ripped at the carpet again most of the night last night.

Robin,
I think that scale looks terrific. Barbara, can you manage those small increments on the syringe?
Barbara, is there room between the bottom of the door and the carpet for a throw rug? Let her toss that all around the room if she wants! Or, if she can see light below the door, and that's why she's trying to get out, remove the "light". You can use a rolled up towel or one of those draft stopper things to make her forget the doorway is the "way out" maybe.
Carl

I wanted to add for any newbies or lurkers that the sliding scale for Thumper was taken from her response to a dose on a given bg test over the past few weeks and is custome tailored to Thumper and Thumper only. ECID.

This sliding scale does not apply to any other cat.

Carl, I have U100 syringes & have shot less than 1 unit before, then Thumper went wonky on me again. I don't like the odd #'s since they are hard to see but I try my best.

Thanks for the suggestion about blocking the light, that probably is part of the problem and I might try to throw rug also!

Starting a new thread for today.
