Haven't shot yet but I'm leaning toward increasing. I had planned on getting some more tests in today but that didn't work out. Showing trace ketones again and I took in a urine specimine yesterday & the vet says it looks good except a reading of 1000 on glucose. I tried to find some info on how that related to blood but wasn't successful. So it just looks like to me she needs more insulin?
 
Thanks Marcy, I don't know what the deal is & evidently neither does anyone else. I toyed with the idea of going to another vet again last night but I just don't know. She has been seen by 3 vets at the office where I've always gone, 2 at the ER and the local "specialist/internist" and no one can seem to figure out what's going on other than she's got small kidneys & her BUN is elevated to 53.

Sorry about Thumpers numbers, it can be frustrating!
Just an fyi, i think I am on my 4th or 5th vet
so you need to do whatever you need to do to feel comfortable
that Thumper is getting good treatment!

I'd probably just go for it and try 1.2. It looks to me like she needs more insulin, looks clear-cut as a U-curve, no low numbers, no sign of rebound. Glad you got the data, it makes such a difference in being able to see what is going on, and to me it takes some of the scariness out of it when the high PSs at least can be seen within the pattern, not just freaky numbers and who knows why. Bummer that she seems to need more, but you gotta roll with it, what else can you do. Hope she is at least feeling ok, I think this time (high #s but I think she seems ok?) is better than when she seemed to be miserable but her numbers weren't that bad, that seemed more troubling to me (but maybe just b/c I was reading along more closely then, lol!).

Anyhow, you are doing great & I think you have a good handle on interpreting things - you are basically telling us now what she needs instead of really asking, just asking for confirmation I think, so that is great!

[ETA just noticed you said ketones are trace again, so I would definitely raise. Is she eating ok and getting plenty of water?]
