I've updated the SS....it looks a little odd cause DH was a little off on some of the times. Of course, Thumper being the girl she is decided to throw a curve ball about the time that I was not going to be able to talk to DH about what to do. I decided the best thing to do was give a token amount of insulin & hope the ketones didn't go up. It really turned out that Sat pm shot was at +13 and she had food @ +12. That was another thing throwing a wrench in my decision to shoot .2 since I didn't know how much the food was really influencing her #'s. She had insulin @ +11.5 this morning & to get back on schedule we would need to shoot @ +11 tonight. I'm not sure where to take the dose. Hopefully someone will be on in the next 45 mins to help!

BTW, I had a wonderful time....despite Thumper trying to cause trouble! :smile:
 
Welcome back, Barbara. Looks like DH did pretty well. Considering the low dose, she did pretty well in the 300s for a preshot.

I will try to check in a few and see if you have a number.
 
She is @ 240 but it's really +11

I would like to get back on schedule so I would need to feed & shoot now. Sue, you still there?

Yes, I can get a +4 if I shoot now. I was wondering about the .8 since he shot that Sat morning & she was only @ 140 @ PMPS, which is why she got her insulin @ +13?
 
I ended up going with a skinny .8 just because of the Sat evening issue & I don't have time in the morning to wait for her shot.
 
Hey welcome home. Glad you had a good time. DH did a great job, he deserves some scritches, even with Thumpers curve ball.

Thumper seems a little "off" to me....just laying around sleeping alot. I would worry more but her #'s look good. I thought about ketones but she's eating and her BG was low except the 300's this morning & that was due to such a low dose last night. DH said she was under the recliner this morning.....she has never done that before. I'm wondering if Petey might have been picking on her. I guess time will tell!

I didn't take Sue with me! I was wondering before I left if she had already taken off on her 6 week trip!
 
No, just a busy family week. My 6 week trip doesn't start till the end of July. My mother turned 94, my kids and grandkids came to visit and we went to see Billy Elliot. What fun!
 
If something seems off it probably is. I would check for ketones anyway if you can, just to be sure.

I guess I forgot to add that to my first post. I did a ketone check @ +10 with the Precision meter & it read 1.2 ("may" indicate the development of a problem) trouble is others were saying it wasn't reliable & I believe they said it read high? I will check pee with a strip as soon as I can catch her in the litter box.
 
I have never used the meter--- what have your test been reading with the meter?
 
Welcome back!!! Looks like things went decently while you were gone, yay! I'm sure you will have everything fully back under control in no time. Ketones be gone!!!! :evil:
