Throwing out a lot of food

I have a question. Is there any good dry food? Reger is doing fine and slowly gaining more weight but he is also playing a lot more so I feel good about his health. My problem is that the last meal I feed my cats doesn't really get eaten. I was thinking about getting a dry food to just put a small amount out at night for over night and move the last canned feeding earlier. I just feel like I am throwing away so much food. I could back off and not feed as much but then I probably won't sleep as much either. How do y'all handle over night feed?

The low carb dry food mentioned often here includes Young Again Mature Zero and Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein. Both are on a website and will send a sample if requested. I have no experience with it myself.
