Thoughts on my Boy's numbers?

Hi, I'm pretty sure I still didn't do my spreadsheet quite right unfortunately but at least you can see what his numbers have been. I have only been dosing .5 Prozinc when he's over 200 but even then he's only been a couple over 200 and that's only been 3 times this month. I've been keeping a log of what he eats and when, I've attributed the higher numbers to FF cans which have now been removed from his diet entirely. However it still seems like a pretty big swing day to day, or are his numbers ok? I'm not sure were to go from here with his treatment : (
Thank you!https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hsJldQdbiw687fd1djNxYhDKsATQyMKY3eueveTc7lo/pubhtml

So the numbers are from the day? From now on, maybe do the day numbers on the left, with any numbers you get at night on the right? His numbers are very nice. When you get to this point, you can wait and hope he drops. Sometimes feeding small frequent meals helps; sometimes dropping the carb levels helps. Or you can get more aggressive.

What kind of meter are you using? Generally we consider a cat in remission if they range from 42 - 120, off insulin - on a human meter. He is a little higher than that, but it is difficult and a little scary to give mini doses on such low numbers. Some techniques to get a cat into remission, including mini dosing and chasing the number, are explained in our sticky, Advanced Techniques. It is my signature in blue.

Unfortunately I work full time and live alone so multiple meals on days I don't have off don't work. But I do give a 'midnight snack' most nights and a lunch on days I'm off. I'm afraid to mini dose and risk a hypo or another DKA attack when I'm not home to do something
I did the graph with the am and pm right after one another because I thought it's graph better? but I like your suggestion of am on one side and pm on the other, I'll do it that way next time!
I'm just a bit confused as to what to do now, his numbers a good but not great. And they've been in this range for about a solid month so I think it's pretty stable right here. But is that healthy?
I have the alpha trac monitor but use freestyle lite strips.

Some people use those microchip feeders that allow you to set them to open at particular times. Apparently they're fairly pricey but can be a valuable tool. If you have other pets along with Pippin it might not work though.

You can also look at automatic feeders. I love my PetSafe 5. It has 5 slots I have set with times to open.

If you are using an AT meter, then your target numbers for remission are a little higher. We don't have any published levels but maybe generally in the 70-150 range (off insulin)

It would be best if he would just drop into remission ranges so you could relax. But his ranges are good. We consider the renal threshold (at which the pancreas can heal) under 250ish. So he is almost always under the renal threshold. The problem with him sitting in those ranges is that he could someday slide back up into higher, truly diabetic ranges.

Maybe be sure to get a number every twelve hours, whenever you would have normally given a shot. If he is ever in the 250+ range, consider a tiny dose (like 0.25 minus a few drops - so you are really giving a drop or two of insulin). It would be best if you'd do that on a cycle when you can monitor him. That might be enough to keep him down in the blues and greens. Eventually you'd hope he would drop into normal non diabetic numbers.
