Thoughts about Abilene's SS??

I am beyond lost and frustrated. Abby was doing so good--well, too good that I had to slowly reduce her dosage as she was going hypo. But now I am slowly going back up in dosage. Why? Why does a dose that a week or two ago was too much for her, not do enough for her now? I am so confused. I thought she was on a good path...not anymore. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

A little extra info:

May 22- June 1 we traveled to visit family in NY. I was prepared for her BG to go thru the roof as I figured she would be stressed out from the other pets at my parents house and being in an unfamiliar place. After looking at her SS for that timeframe--its the exact opposite. She actually went super low during that time. A few days after we got back to KY, her numbers just weren't the same?
She ate the same while on vacation- so its not like the low numbers could have been from lack of eating. The only thing I did differently was added bottled water to her food instead of tap water--it was just more convenient while I had her confined in my bedroom there. But she ate same amount and same food. I just don't understand why she had such low numbers there and once we got back home she isn't going anywhere near as low.
Just a side note: I have noticed the past few days that she seems extremely hungry all the time again--like she acted when first diagnosed. Not sure if that means anything but was just an observation.

How is her activity level? Behavior?
Common issues for feline diabetics are pancreatitis and infection. And when your belly hurts or is making you nauseous, you don't eat. If you don't eat, you break down fat which converts into glucose. Plus the inflammation from pancreatitis (or infection) can send the glucose through the roof.

She is honestly the same cat. She isn't any more active or lazy than she ever has been. She eats all of her food at meal times--and she actually would prefer if I gave her more but I have noticed she has gained a few pounds back that she had initially lost, so I have cut back the amount of food she gets slightly. She gets roughly 5-6 ounces of Wellness each day. Could I not be giving her enough--thus she is breaking down fat and converting it to glucose? Otherwise everything else is the same as its always been. I just cannot comprehend how a dose that was too much 2 weeks ago is now not enough for her.

I have been trying to catch her going potty so I can slip a pee stick under her and check for ketones...haven't had luck today.

She would be losing weight if she had to break down fat for calories.
Perhaps she has some underlying condition which is elevating the glucose. Many cats hide illness - its a survival thing.
If you've given it a few days, I'd take her in for a vet check.
