Well my husband brought it to my attention its probably his kitty spa, don't know if anyones familiar or not but its a platform with massage brushes on it. Hidey goes CRAZY on this, he loves the deep rubs...heck he has an obsession with shoes especially dress shoes because theyre so hard he just rubs and rubs and rubs lol. I couldnt believe I didnt think of that, well that would work for the scratches on his chin but not along the collar line. So I took it away until he healed up and have been applying neosporin to his marks.
This morning I woke up, went and put neosporin on him like usual, I even went and told my husband how well his neck is looking. Right after my husband walked out the door I was getting ready to go start my daily routines and noticed Hidey was bleeding where I just applied some neosporin....what the heck, nothing was there a second ago so of course I go to look at it and clean it and then it happened............
A FLEA!!!!
Yup, a flea went walking by the cut. I highly doubt this was a coincidence, so of course I ran to walmart and bought advantage II and dosed all 3 cats and went into CLEAN mode. Vacuumed all the couches, washed all the blankets, all the cat beds and sprayed everything down. Luckily I just tiled my house a month ago lol. I would give all 3 bathes because I know they do need it, but its too cold plus I worry about Hideys cuts (thats why I didnt just use the frontline spray I usually use). I have been checking all 3 cats and I've found nothing on the other 2, one was laying half dead on the floor next to Hidey a bit later, and I found a live one half dead on him....I guess thats a good sign lol.
Ive never really had to use flea stuff on them, Ive only used the spray a couple of times and its been when I've gotten a new stray that would be covered and I would use it to prevent them from getting them.
