Thinking of Sheila and her Aunt W today

Oh, thanks you guys!

It has been a long couple of days for me, but my aunt seems to be doing very well. She is still in the ICU, but she is more alert then I have ever seen her post surgery. And it was a LONG surgery - 5 hours, I think. That is a long time to be under general anesthesia for someone her age.

I think yesterday while I waited and waited with no word was stressful and took a lot out of me. And I am the "point" person for my family and my aunt's friends, who are at least organized so I only have to call a couple of them and they pass along the news.

And now Jeddie is all off schedule again... sigh.

good update- looks promising!

Sorry about Jeddie Spageddi getting all fercocked and fershimeled ( that's Jewish for messed up  ) but you will get him back on track in no time!

Give Auntie W (((hugs))) from us.

No need to translate Yiddish! My mom had a very good friend when she was in grade school - this is funny - it was the 40's, probably during The War, and neither set of parents knew the other child was not Jewish/Presbyterian because the last names were not obvious. My mom's was Mason, but I don't know about her friend. Anyway, it all fell apart when my mom asked her mother if she could go to Synagogue with her friend. Anyway, mom learned a bunch of Yiddish because she was over at her friend's all the time, and used it when we were growing up. I thought everyone used those words! And then, of course, my ex was Jewish.
