Howdy and hi all. :YMHUG: Sorry we've been absent lately...too much work and not enough time. Even had to go in on spring break.

Now that I am officially on Spring Break (Woot! Yahoo! and Woohoo!) I've got 6 days to concentrate on the Poopster!

What I have been seeing:
No change in the litter box - nice poops and reasonable urine deposits (no ketones)
No increase in water intake
No change in hunger
A bit of dandruff (not sure if that's a concern or a change int he weather - it's warmer right now)
Poopy eats a chunk at mealtime, then snacks on the remaining - even when food is split into 4 feedings 6 hours apart
He naps quite a bit
His BGs haven't been great - 200s to a high 300, with PSs mid 200s to mid 300s

I can never be sure when he snacks or what part that is playing in his BGs. For example, I just got home (about an hour earlier than normal) and Poopy's face is in his bowl, chomping away. There are still some dregs left, so no telling when between now (4:45) and 5:30 (his normal test time) he'll eat the remaining. It's still soon enough to effect his PMPS.

Here's what I am thinking of doing - since he normally leaves himself snacks, I'm going to continue feeding as I have been and see if I can't keep a better eye on when he eats compared to testing. I'd also like to seriously bump up his dose (.2u per line on the scale). I'll be home to watch him other than a dental appointment tomorrow afternoon.

Thoughts?

Re: The Missing Poop

Hey poopster! I've missed you. Wondered what was happening. So glad you will be home for the next 6days to monitor. Hope your increase will bring good results!

Re: The Missing Poop

Hi Teresa,
Keeping an eye on the eating is a good idea, especially if the poopster is eating
too close to shot time, that will affect the numbers
Especially since you will be home for 6 days I would think about raising
now while you can keep an eye on him!
Hope things settle and glad to see you back

PMPS 277, shot 2.0u. I know a bit daring (but only .1u more than what scale would have been...so not too daring after all) but we'll see what it brings.
