I didn't generally give dosing advice, but I often shared what my experiences were in similar situations. Especially when it came to testing low numbers and checking for ketones.
I don't pop in much, but when I do, it's nice to see old friends and meet some of the new folks. This forum is such a great tool for helping your kitties, I really encourage you to share your experiences and ask questions. That's one of the things that makes going through FD manageable.
For me, the biggest stress was not being able to get Grayson to bleed enough. This was remedied by getting a meter that didn't require as much blood. MUCH better! I used to refer to him has "my little turnip"... We "swam in a sea of pinks", or as we called it - he "hung out at the IHOP" - flat as a pancake in the pinks for months! Then we found out he had more issues going on than FD, and people from this board recommended the testing for Acromegaly. Had it not been for those folks and the encouragement/support here, I don't think Grayson would still be with me, nearly 2 years later. I'm grateful to the friends and folks here that helped us along the way.
G is doing great now. Still a high dose kitty, but doing well, and numbers nicely regulated in blues and greens. A great place to be!
