Michele and Peeps

I think the favorite phrase my civvies would share is, "What about me!" (though they won't share much!)
Tonight while I was getting Peeps' shot ready, the monster Zoey kept swooshing my legs. She paused so I _thought_ I was safe.
She screamed AT ME because I tripped over her. And I still feel bad.
Zoey is having a hard time adjusting to this "wonderful attention" Peeps gets during this time of the day. I let her smell the syringe with insulin in it, and she wanted to play with it.
Buddy, her nemesis, is also dumbfounded about the things that are happening to Peeps.
Both Buddy and Zoey have had spot checks, more than 2 years ago. It is time to start bleeding them so they get an idea of what Peeps is going through? And maybe try not to kill me over their excitement?
On another note - a few days ago I did a spot check on Peeps while she was laying in her recliner. The cockatiel Chip just had to fly over and eyeball us because he thought Peeps was getting food. They're all pests!! I don't think it's a good idea to spot check a bird... And Buddy already associates the PM shot with his treats. I don't need to teach the cockatiel that needles mean food if he doesn't stay out of my way..
