It looks like no blues today....he had two good days and then BAM, running high again. Should I give it a couple of days to see if it clears? Also, wondering if the two bad teeth he is getting extracted could be contributing to this? My feet hurt from dancing.

I think maybe you hold dose for another cycle or two, at least until he's not constipated anymore - because that in itself can be helping screw with his numbers (just now noticed the "constipated" remark in your comments section).
But I reserve the right to change my mind if he poops later & still shows you the red zone @ PMPS.;)

Would check ketones, too, next time you can.
I feel for you; I know you're frustrated right now, but try to hang in.:bighug:

ETA: He was outside for 2 hours right after breakfast, so it is feasible he did his business out there. Tonight, he will be grounded so I will see what is in the box by tomorrow AM, and I can take possible extra calories out of the equation too. I know what you are thinking, "why don't you keep that cat inside"???
 
Bubba is sure making you dance today! Hope things get better for him (and you) soon, lots of factors to consider, sure makes it hard to figure out what's going on! You are going to need to soak your feet tonight! :bighug:
 
Just saw your note on SS @ AMPS ... Yeah, don't you just hate it when they get spooked/ freaked by something right before test time? :banghead:

Thanks Robin. I increased to 2.6, Sue suggested 2.75 but it's easier for me to read on the 100U syringes. We shall see, getting ready to do +5 on him. How's BB and Robin? Oh, Batman and Robin! Is that how you came up with the name? Except BB is a girly girl! It's curious to me how everyone comes up with their pet's names.
 
How Bat-Bat got her name: Well, she's black, like a bat ... and as a kitten, she would do this funny boxing routine with us to play - would lie on her back and "bat" at us with her paws during play; hence, "Bat-Bat." (As a bonus, it really confuses the heck out of the front desk people at the vet's office: "Um...what's her name again? How do you spell that?" :p) My crazy girl was super-active this morning; woke me up a half-hr. early, racing around, tossing small items from my desk, etc. So her AMBG was a real surprise!

Re: That increase on the U-100 syringe; yep, what you did is close enough to 0.25 ... and you can always fatten it up later on should you need to.:) (P.S. Just looked at Bubba's +5. Wow, there's a drop for you ...)

Yeah BB! Looking good!! ;) Love the way she got her name. What did Shakespeare say about names? "What's in a name"? Everything Shakespeare, everything.

Love it!! You have a theme thing going on too Sharon! Bubba got his name because is the youngest brother in the furry family. I grew up in the South and often times the youngest little brother in the family are nicknamed "Bubba" At least in redneck families, LOL, and since Bubba is red.......
 
This is a fun thread! Niko is a Russian Blue so we were looking for a Russian name. I refused to consider Putin so Niko was our default. We named Oliver because we liked the name and it seemed distinguished. Which he generally was - a beautiful Maine Coon.

ETA: No make that, I LOVE Maine Coons, the gentle giants of cats.

As many cats as I've had/rescued over the years, names are getting difficult to come by. I try not to use the same name twice. My latest one is Siete, Spanish for 7, because I found him on Cinco de Mayo, and he's the 7th black cat I have(at the present). I had a Bubba years ago too he was also a red! Where in the south are you from Bobbie?

OMG! How funny is it that you had a Bubba!??? I am a military brat. I have lived in NC, VA, TN, and TX ( although I don't consider TX as the South, but some Texans do) I also lived CA.
 
I remember once I was driving with Bubba, it was a short way and I had no carrier(dumb I know now). Anyway, Bubba sat on my lap with his paws on the steering wheel, looking out through the windshield. He turned on the blinkers and the wipers, and down the road we went. I can't imagine what the people we passed must of thought!

I love how this forum has picked up lately! All these threads that turn into conversations are fun...

Oreo was named because he is black and white. Yeah yeah..not super creative. Lol. However, my boyfriend wanted to name his daughter (who looks like him but smaller) crumb...because small pieces of Oreos are crumbs. I refused since that would mean people called her crummy! We went with Elektra...picked by my ex roommate. Gypsy was named by her too and Tigress is tiger striped. I'll have to be more creative should I ever get a cat in the future.

However, I do have songs for everyone. Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac. Eye of the Tiger (which we sing as Eye of the Tigress). Oreo...well, Weird Al sang a song about Oreos lol. And for Elektra...the Love Boat theme song. Except I say Elektra soon will be making another run. Her name fits and she IS always running from people!
