I just wanted to thank you all for the great information over the past few years! When our cat was first diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago, the vet did one curve, told us to give her 2.2 ccs twice a day, and feed her their special type of dry food.
We didn't think that sounded right, and I started doing my own research and found this message board. With your help and knowledge, we started testing her ourselves, feeding her only wet food, and know what to look for. We rarely have to give her insulin now because her numbers are good. Maybe once a month or less she'll need insulin. If it wasn't for you all, we don't know how Oreo would be today. Her numbers are already good and giving her 2.2 ccs twice a day like the vet wanted would not have been good and dropped her really low.
Thanks again for all of the help you provide through this forum!
Ps. The info in my signature is incorrect. Whenever I try to change it, it never saves.
