I just want to give a huge THANK YOU to this board. If it weren't for this board my cat, Sparky, probably wouldn't have survived the last 11 years he had been living with diabetes. Because of this board, I became educated and well guided through properly treating him. He spent 10 out of the last 11 years on Honeymoon and had a very fulfilling and long life.

Today, he passed away peacefully at home at the age of 18. And I truly owe the precious time I had with him to FDMB. And to those who are new here, I know it is very scary learning about feline diabetes and coping with treatment. But it's not a death sentence. We were blessed with 11 years of life- quality life- healthy life- and fond memories.

The knowledge provided here, the compassionate people supporting each other, the guidance and shoulders to lean on when things seem so very difficult- it is priceless and nothing short of amazing. I feel so lucky to have found this place.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Aly, I'm so sorry to hear about Sparky. But it's wonderful you had such a long and happy time with him, despite the diabetes. My deepest condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss of Sparky. How wonderful to have 18 years and so many of them as an FD. Inspires and gives us hope for our two young boys to have long happy remissions too.

But what a marvelous job you did in maintaining a good quality of life for him for those 11 years after his diagnosis.
My thoughts & prayers are with you today. (((Hugs))) - Robin
